The Black Swallowtail (also known as Pink Rose) is as deep in color as the night with just a hint of vampiric blood red. It has an opaque black upper side with a splash of red on the abdomen while the underside has a red "bitemark" pattern on the hindwings. We like to think if Morticia Addams was a butterfly, this would be her!
